Library story time

Yea! Thank goodness library story time has begun again! We love the children's librarian, Miss Lizzy, at the Madison library and have been showing up once a week for YEARS now. I've seen the Thanksgiving puppet show what, 4 times in a row? Anyway, I think we've been going since just before Rachel turned 1 and it's played a huge part in our weekly routine ever since. It's aimed at 3-5 year olds, but Katherine still wants to participate. (Miss Lizzy is starting up a cooking club for 7-9 year olds this year and Katherine cannot wait for their first meeting!) This week she read them a story and then the kids got to dress up and act it out. It's hard to handle a lot of kids and keep the others from getting too bored, but Miss Lizzy is a master. It will be a sad day when we outgrow storytime. Next week Katherine gets to help put on the puppet show - she LOVES doing that!
Grady the farmer handing the magic pot to his wife, Libby.

I LOVE this picture! Check out Caroline giving Benny the evil eye.
He told her to quit whispering, and this was her response.
Run Benny run!

Farmer Jack leading his cows. FYI, age 6 is about the limit for
girls to be happy playing a cow. Give her a few years, and there
will be NO worse insult possible!

Farmer Jack and Greta (I don't know the other kid). Jack is at that
not quite a baby, not quite a kid age - so cute! (And Greta's just always
cute!)
